Photography in a flash
" Pictures can only symbolize the present. When photographed, the subject becomes part of the past” (Abbott, Berenice). Since god knows when humans have tried to commemorate their presence and a great way we have succeeded in doing so is through photography. Pictures can be found everywhere. One of the most common places you can find photography is within a art gallery; which is where my story begins. As I entered opportunities of the Art gallery of Pictures at the University or college of Riverside I was transported through time. I was considered back to an occasion when digital photography was almost a budding phenomenon. A time where the mention of daguerreotype; a photo made on a mirror-like surface, would prevent people dead in their paths. A time wherever death; while tragic when it was, was celebrated as artwork. The time of Post-Mortem photography. As I ventured deeper into the world of Post-Mortem photography, I actually quickly learned that Post- Mortem photography designed photography in the deceased. My spouse and i immediately wondered the photographers' motives and was hesitant to except all their works as fine art. However , ?nternet site continued to examine and observe I noticed that these photos weren't since horrific ?nternet site had made them to be able to be. Actually they were quite beautiful; because they keep something in back of for the living to hold on to. As I continued through the halls of the art gallery I found a number of other photographs in whose subjects were living. I actually favored these kinds of photographs in the other photographs because they were much more happy. Throughout my personal exploration of the museum in total there were 4 photographs that stood out to me.
